Fiction
Open, Heaven - Sean Hewitt
After two poetry collections, a memoir and an anthology of queer myths, Seán Hewitt has turned his hand to fiction in this long-awaited debut. Open, Heaven follows two teenagers, James and Luke, over one year. Each new season provides a snapshot of their evolving friendship and the transformation in their lives. This poetic novel beautifully illustrates the impact of first love, especially on one’s imagination. It’s a must-read this summer and I can’t recommend it enough!
