Where All Roads Meet

When an old flame returns from Italy to sweep local married woman Babs Wheatley off her feet, the rug is truly pulled from under her when twenty-four hours later he turns up murdered. Diligent Garda Caitlín Kennedy and her colleagues at Ballantur Garda Station are hard pressed as they strive to solve the case while knowing so little about the victim. Life goes on in Ballantur and beyond, and summertime events collide with the murder investigation, spinning it out of control. The visit of JFK – President Kennedy – to Galway is quite a distraction, especially for Caitlín who is part of the observation team set up for his protection. And being a debut rally driver in a cross-country race is more than she needs on her plate just now. Meanwhile, tensions are high and expectations low in the murder case, with Sergeant Lamb throwing his weight around even more than usual – leading Caitlín to pursue a perilous line of enquiry that takes her from the side-lines of Ballantur to the captivating olive groves of Sicily.
