The Valley Of Silent Men A Story Of The Three River Country is a fictional story book written by James Oliver Curwood. James Kent, who is terminally sick and may not have many days left to live, chooses to confess to a murder in order to save the life of an innocent man. No one, especially Marette, an enigmatic girl who had just recently appeared in Athabasca Landing, believed his confession. When Kent's sickness changes and his death is postponed, he decides to know more about the girl, with whom he ends up falling in love, despite the fact that she won't tell him anything about her background or what she knows about the crime.
