Kim was utterly exhausted with life: the relentless cycle of bills, the suffocating reality that everything seemed bleak. The drudgery of work, the constant battle with her overdraft, and the irony of owning a house yet feeling imprisoned within its walls due to financial constraints weighed heavily on her. It all felt overwhelmingly bleak. Nothing could compare to the freedom and joy she experienced in her 20s, travelling the world with ample funds at her disposal. Now, trapped in a deep pit of despair, she found herself fantasizing about escape through darker means.
