The Hayocks

The Hayocks, which comprises both a significant area and population of Stevenston, has been repeatedly neglected by previous researchers. This volume can be considered an attempt to rectify this situation and stimulate future investigation. Alex McLatchie, a Stinston man who spent his early years in the Hayocks, not only paints a solid historical portrait of the area, but provides an insight into the personalities who have moulded its character and development.
