Farty McGonagle and his best friend Picknose Maguire are in constant bother with their teachers, school bullies and the local retired police officer - the wicked Inspector Snodgrass. Life for the two boys takes an unexpected turn for the better when they secretly board a spaceship and land on a faraway planet, where they discover two-headed aliens who they befriend.
