About the Author - Deciding the time had come to retire, Ruth and her husband sold Portola Valley Thoroughbred Training Center and left Northern California to set out on a magical journey to Mexico aboard their boat, the Paradigm, cruising the waters and spending time in the many towns and villages on pacific coast of Mexico. After two years of nomadic life they settled in Puerto Vallarta. Ruth developed a love and understanding of the Mexican culture and history while learning to speak Spanish.
