The A-Z of Special Educational Needs is a treasure trove of advice and guidance for SENCos, teachers, support staff and leaders, organised around the 26 letters of the English alphabet. 'As teachers we all know pupils learn at different rates and require different levels and types of support at different points in their education in order to succeed. Skilful assessment allows teachers to ascertain what children know, what their barriers might be and what they need to learn next.
