School of Velocity Op. 299 For Piano

It is impossible to understate Czerny's importance as a teacher (Ludwig van Beethoven employed him to teach his own nephew) and his many educational works for pianists at all stages are as important today as when they were first produced. The School of Velocity aims to give advancing pianists the dexterity and control required to perform the increasingly virtuosic and decorative music being composed in his own time, the first half of the 19th century.
