Memories of Kerry Life in the 70s and Early 80s

The English author married the daughter of a Kerry man and, unable to get a mortgage in England, took his father-in-law's advice, who suggested the newly married couple come to Kerry and buy one of the "hundreds of abandoned cabins you can buy for what you've got in your pocket". In 1975 they arrived at their derelict purchase and so began their adventure! Although the book references this and the friends they made along the way, it is principally a collection of photos of Kerry at that time, with the front cover image being typical of the ones in the book, scenes of everyday life as it was in the 70s. Locations featured include Kenmare, Killorglin, Abbeyfeale, Castleisland, Firies, Tralee, Castlemaine, Cromane, Mountain Stage and Caherciveen.
