When food anthropologist Miriam moves from New York to Miami, she puts her career on hold to stay at home with her son. Adding to her funk is a mother-in-law and a husband rekindling a friendship with his ex. Gracias to her best friend, she gets a job as a Caribbean cooking expert on a TV show. But when the new star attends a luncheon, a socialite suddenly falls dead. When a second woman dies, detective Pullman is not happy to find Miriam at every turn. After he catches her breaking into a suspect's apothecary, he enlists her help. Can she catch the killer before the killer catches her?
