India's China Dilemma

The equilibrium and understanding between India and China that was built on the premise that both were at the same level of development, and hence need to give full play to their complementarities and potentialities has visibly been lost owing to the balance of power favouring China. Finding new equilibrium and understanding will not be easy given India`s asymmetrical relationship with China. The nature of India-China coexistence, cooperation and competition will be determined by factors such as how quickly the narrative of India`s rise regains traction, India and China`s relations with major and middle powers, strategic and economic partnership with major regional blocks, India`s role in global supply chains, the Quad and Indo-Pacific Strategy etc. Given this background, the book arranges author`s op-ed articles in the Sunday Guardian in eight sections, namely: India`s China dilemma; peoples to people relations; India and the Unites States; China and the United States; multilateralism; the Belt and Road Initiative; Covid-19; and the governance of China.
