Hull, City of Poets

A selection of historical and contemporary poems from the rich heritage of poetry inspired by Kingston upon Hull, the modern city and its environs, the Rivers Hull and Humber. It tells many stories, in language by turns highly literary and bluntly vernacular. It has ample evidence to justify why Hull has been called "the most poetic city in England" (by Peter Porter in 1982).
