For obvious reasons, society has always been interested in the quality of the forms of living. This feature is nowadays increasingly identified in the environmental, economic, and social sustainability of the design interventions. Aesthetic values are still essential, but they change rapidly. At the same time, architecture starts addressing a new theoretical/practical framework of conceptual reference for buildings' transformation. Also, it affirms three main nonoppositional objectives of quality, which actually integrate each other: performance, social action and narrative do not propose new urban or architectural concepts. Rather, they identify an anachronistic, anti- graceful and popular design attitude.
