The men and women who served in the Ulster Defence Regiment 1970-1992 were truly remarkable because they made a commitment that was open ended. They put their lives and those of their families at risk in the service of our Country for as long as it would take to return Northern Ireland to normality. They were at risk every minute of every day, every day of every week, and every week of every year. There was no let up. In this book fifty men and women of one battalion, the 8th, tell stories of their service and the incidents they were involved in - in their own words.
