John Ellis Jones (1929-2023) was a classical scholar and archaeologist who dedicated himself to teaching and developing his subject in his beloved Wales. His son, the photographer Rhodri Ellis Jones, has exhibited his works in some of the world's most renowned galleries, and has lived in Bologna, Italy since 2000. He has created this volume in memory of his father.
