This title explores the relationship between the people with autism spectrum disorder and the urban environment. It also puts forward a set of requirements for the planning of autism-friendly cities. This research unfolds from the assumption that programmes and projects promoting the fruition of urban spaces and services by people with autism can also respond to the lack of rights, needs and unmet or unrecognized desires of all the different disadvantaged groups of society; and therefore help promote everybody's quality of life in the city.
