"The book describes the theology of Paul's letter to the Galatians. Chapter 1 looks at how Paul's adversaries questioned his apostolic authority and his gospel. Chapter 2 considers Paul's defense of his apostolic authority so that he may defend the gospel. Chapters 3-6 examine the gospel that Paul defends over against his opponents. These chapters explore eschatology and apocalyptic (chap. 3), Christ and the cross (chap. 4), justification by faith (chap. 5), and the law (chap. 6). The final two chapters see what it looks like to live out the truth of the gospel in the new era: chapter 7 considers the people of God-that is, the family of Abraham, and chapter 8 explores the new life of the Spirit, the engine for the Christian life"--.
