BEAST

BEAST covers a 30-year period beginning in the early 1990s and loosely reimagines Thomas Mann's novel Doctor Faustus. It is centred on a self-taught female musician who asks, what if the musicians (Paganini, Robert Johnson, Leverkuhn) who dealt with their devil at the crossroads, were not reaching for the devil but searching for the divine. It is told from the point of view of the Demon's familiar.
