Architecture in Context

How do you design a distinctive building that also fits seamlessly into its context? How do you add value to a site yet at the same time acknowl- edge its identity? Architecture in Context attempts to answer these questions with a carefully selected series of international, public/private, large- and small-scale projects, all of which demonstrate just that sensitiv- ity to their environmental, cultural and social contexts. Each project is accompanied by a descriptive and critical text and illustrated with photographs and drawings. Ranging from initial concept sketches through to detailed construction drawings, the reader is given a full overview of the whole design process from ideation to construction.
