Alone Beneath the Heaven

As a child Sarah Brown was abandoned and grew up in a Sunderland orphanage run by a cruel matron. Sarah goes to London to enter service but her new master is a rapist and terrible violence ensues. She is driven to unravel the mysteries of her past.
