Hayes Figuerido is a filmmaker struggling to make his latest work. So when brilliant scientist Yusuf Hassan turns up and tells him he's the only person who can help with a secret government project, he says yes. What he doesn't expect is to find footage of him, a brilliant scientist from another reality, married to Yusuf. Soon he is deep in love, and haunted by footage of Yusuf dying in the other reality. What if something happened to Yusuf in his reality? And what if Hayes could save his life, even at a terrible cost?
