In Summer 2018, Richie McCaffery and his long-term partner moved from Ghent, Belgium to Northumberland, settling a year later in the old market town of Alnwick. At first they were happy, adjusting to a part of the world they both knew well already. However, Covid and 'self-isolation' cast a shadow over their domestic contentment and in Summer 2021, McCaffery's partner left unexpectedly. This collection is the account of before, during and after a life-changing breakup.

A selection of 26 images from Segregation Story first appeared in the September 24, 1956 issue of Life magazine as part of the photo-essay "The Restraints: Open and Hidden." Although some of these were exhibited during his lifetime, the bulk of Parks' assignment was thought lost. In 2011, five years after Parks' death, The Gordon Parks Foundation discovered more than 70 color transparencies from the series. Revising the original book published by Steidl in 2014, this expanded edition is the most comprehensive publication of this pivotal body of work to date. In the summer following the 1955 bus boycott in Montgomery, Life magazine sent Gordon Parks to Alabama to document the daily realities of African Americans living under Jim Crow laws that enforced racial segregation. Over the course of several weeks in summer 1956, he photographed an extended African-American family, the Causeys, at home and work in the rural South. The resulting color photographs are among Parks' most powerful and groundbreaking images, and have since become iconic representations of the conditions that led to the civil rights movement. Among them is one of Joanne Thornton Wilson and her niece, Shirley Anne Kirksey, standing in front of a theater in Mobile, Alabama-a celebrated image that became, in Parks' words, a forceful "weapon of choice" in the struggle against racism and segregation. In addition to unseen images from the series, the expanded Segregation Story includes a new essay by artist Dawoud Bey, alongside texts from the first edition by the late art historian Maurice Berger and the esteemed journalist and civil rights activist Charlayne Hunter-Gault. For a good two hundred years the Tower Room on the piano nobile of the Dresden Residence served as a unique showroom for the electoral-royal porcelain collection. Here, alongside vases from China and Japan, King August III presented the finest products of his manufactory at Meissen, on gilded consoles against red-lacquered wall panels. In the bombing of Dresden in February 1945 the royal palace was almost entirely consumed by fire; as for the porcelain pieces, despite having been evacuated in 1943, the majority of them fell prey to plundering and destruction. Now that the porcelain cabinet has been reconstructed, some of the extant pieces - notably the spectacular 'Elements' garniture modelled by Johann Joachim Kaendler and two 'Dragoons' vases - can be displayed again. Additionally, ten silver gueridons serve as a reminder of the room's earlier function as a 'Silver Buffet'. This book traces the history of the cabinet from its origins in the 1730s to its destruction in 1945. It includes a comprehensive Catalogue section in which the losses from the Tower Room's holdings are presented on the basis of the documentation of the porcelain collection undertaken in 1941.

Battle Against Stigma and Helmand are both projects resulting from Neville's time in Afghanistan. Two projects for the USA are also included. Invited by the Andy Warhol Museum in 2012, Neville examined social divisions in Pittsburgh, and the photo-essay Here is London, commissioned by The New York Times Magazine, echoes the style of the celebrated photographers who documented the boom and bust of the 1970s and '80s.

The RF 1475-1556 Louvre Album is universally regarded as a corpus of drawings that was executed by the Venetian painter Jacopo Bellini. The album's trajectory prior to coming into the possession of the Bellini family is elucidated in the present book. Based on Norberto Gramaccini's interpretation, it was the Paduan painter Francesco Squarcione who was the mastermind and financier behind the drawings. The preparatory work had actually been delegated to his most gifted pupils, among them Andrea Mantegna, Jacopo Bellini´s future son-in-law. The drawing's topics -anatomy, perspective, archeology, mythology, contemporary chronicles, and zoology -were part of the teaching program of an art academy established by Squarcione in the 1440s, famous in its day, which provided crucial impulses for the training of artists in the modern era.
