Lost Sheep

It's a man's world, farming... At least, it was. This is the story of one woman's fight against the establishment as she shuns the life that had been mapped out for her in the upper middle classes, preferring instead to launch herself into the gruelling, hands-on world of cattle and sheep farming. It is, at first, an uphill battle in which she struggles to be taken seriously in the chauvinistic agricultural industry, but a battle she determines to win, taking her across continents to hone her skills. This is a story of self-discovery, beginning in the sheltered and subjugated surroundings of a Catholic boarding school, through overfamiliar and often bullying male colleagues and finding, losing, and finding love. The overriding sense, throughout this book, is the unreserved joy and appreciation of the great outdoors, nature and the wonder of life and the fauna we share this incredible planet with.
