Baz Luhrmann's movie looks set to be one of the biggest hits of the summer (though if pushed we might take Robert Redford and Mia Farrow over Leonardo and Carey) but it's hard to imagine any film improving on F. Scott Fitzgerald's book, perhaps the Great American Novel.
