Julian hears from an old pal, Salvador, with whom he had previously worked to hunt down former Nazis scattered throughout the world. Salvador, now in retirement in Spain, has spotted a pair of octogenarians, Fredrik and Karin Christensen, both of whom served in the Waffen-SS overseeing the extermination of Norwegian Jews. Meanwhile, young Sandra is befriended by the Christensens as she awaits the birth of her child. They look after her, take her to the beach and eventually invite her into their home. Julian convinces Sandra to help him bring the pair to justice, as he can never forget what he and Salvador suffered as children at the hands of these butchers now posing as sugar-coated pensioners. This book will captivate you with its bewitching tale of intrigue such that you’ll only be satisfied once you reach the very end.
